Packing List
Suggested Packing List – Archery Elk
*Please be advised that this is only a guideline to follow to assure your comfort and safety while on your hunt. Keep in mind that weight is essential on this trip. All of your gear will be packed into camp on mules. So please do not bring and excess of gear. Please pack in only soft sided duffle bags. If possible weigh your bag and label the outside of the bag with the weight.
- 2 sets camouflage hunting clothes
- 1 set of comfortable camp clothes
- 1 medium weight waterproof/insulated coat
- 1 hats
- 1 washcloth/towel
- 1 pair of camp shoes
- 6-12 pairs of socks (wool or wicking socks suggested)
- 1 pair waterproof/insulated boots
- 1 sleeping bag rated for 20 degrees
- 1 small pillow
- 1 set of rain gear
- 2 pairs of performance long underwear
- 2 pairs of gloves
- Personal toiletries
- Backpack
- Knife
- Bow and arrows
- Headlamp
- Lighter or waterproof matches
- Binoculars
- Water bottle
You will not need hunter orange. Also, ID law prohibits the use of mechanical broad heads . Remember “cotton kills” in the backcountry. Gortex, Fleece and Wool are your best choices.
