Seasonal Activities
Explore the Seven Devils, Season by Season
Rugged, remote, and wildly beautiful, the Seven Devils Mountains stretch 40 miles along the Idaho–Oregon border, framed by the Snake River to the west and the Salmon and Little Salmon Rivers to the east. Known for their steep terrain and colorful peak names like He Devil, Devil’s Tooth, and Goblin, this range is home to Idaho’s most dramatic elevation shifts, from 1,000 feet at river level to over 9,300 feet at the summit.
This is where HGO operates – deep in the heart of mountain wilderness. With 30 alpine lakes, countless creeks, and abundant wildlife, every season brings something new to experience. From spring bear hunts to high-country summer pack trips, fall elk season to winter predator calling, there’s never a wrong time to be in the Devils.
